There Will Be A Film About The Fire is an experimental poetry film that plays on a never-ending loop. It offers paradoxical assurance to its audience, alongside increasingly worrying descriptions of an amusement park disaster. A movie star, a blockbuster sequel, and a destructive fire are just a few of the characters that take part in this endless cinematic cycle...all set to the eerily-cheery soundtrack of an amusement park. The dark-humored text of the video originates from my poem Don’t Worry*, which is part of my full-length poetry collection Tell Me I’m Not On Fire (2024).
